Sheryl Barabba
is a California Artist who has returned to the Monterey
Bay area after living and working in New York for two
decades. Barabba was represented by several galleries
in New York and enjoys the challenge of working directly
with interior designers to create a painting for a specific
environment.
Her work is displayed in many private and
public spaces country wide. She works mostly in oil,
often on very large canvases, but enjoys the freedom
to express herself in many mediums. Barabba's work tends
to be semi-abstract with figures inspired by old photographs
sometimes appearing almost mystically.
The work used for the cover art of Surviving Transformation was
created specifically for that purpose. When she read
the early drafts of the book, it spoke to her very clearly
of moving forward in a complicated and uncertain world.
She wanted to create a cover that could best convey that
idea. |
